HELP!!

So what the HECK?? I was going to update my blog and when I got on here it has deleted my background. So I tried to load another one but it won't work? So as you can tell, my computer skills SUCK!! So until I can get some help or I have 10 hours to figure this thing out, you get to enjoy this UGLY layout and background. I can't even figure out how to put it back to just plain white...

Our computer monitor went out so we've been w/ out a computer for a whole week! And I have been BUSY and ok maybe a lil LAZY!! So SORRY for the blogging over load.....

July 4th and

a few odds and ends......

Well I ended up having to work this weekend:( So we didn't make any big plans for the 4th. My parents were staying @ Camper World so as I posted below we took the kids up last night and went swimming and had a hot dog and our 1st smore of the year:) SMORES are my fav. but I don't like them w/ the striped cookies, I like em the old fashion way... I ate 4, can you believe that? LOL:) Then I wonder why I can't lose weight, that ought to be a NO brainer huh? Any how they tasted WONDERFUL!! and I can't wait for the next 4:)

Then we came home and did a few fireworks and had a good nights rest! Then this morning we went to church, and had a nice relaxing Sunday. Later on we went back up to Camper World, only 1 smore tonight, Mer was running out of chocolate bar so I didn't think I should go for 4:) The kids ended up staying w/ my parents and James and I are getting prepared for a big ole bike ride, w/ a few friends in the morning:) WoooHOO!! I'm so excited!! I love the SUN & the bike, so I'm in hopes for a GREAT day!


Now for the odds and ends......

Kobe gets a lil bored @ Maddi's games so Thursday he brought a few toys along and thought he needed to take a picture, so there ya have it! STAR WARS, are you surprised?



My mom brought Caleb's girls to Maddi's game and Kobe and Maggie had fun playing. Kobe wanted me to take their picture Maggie is doing a silly face and Kobe is trying to give her bunny ears, what a silly kid! :)

Any how we haven't went on any big vacations or done any thing wonderful, and summer is half over. We have been busy w/ ball & 4H and of course work. The kids have been spending lots of time w/ Gp. & Gm. and riding bikes, playing w/ cousins and having sleep overs. And us parents have been workin, cleanin house and doin laundry... sounds like fun, huh?

It's noting GREAT! But guess what? it's LIFE!! and LIFE is GREAT!! :)

B.C. Pool

The kids & I have planned a few pool days w/ some friends but due to rain and life we haven't made it yet:(

So on Thursday James & I had to do a few errands in Brigham so we took the kids to the pool. They had a BLAST!! We weren't able to stay as long as we would of liked, cause Maddi had a game. But it was a fun lil day w/ just us:)

The kids wanted me to take their picture while they were under water. I'm not sure if Maddi is telling me to wait 1 minute or if she is trying to show me that her whole body is under?? But I took 3 pictures and she is holding up 1 finger in all of them, so I guess I'm a lil confused:)

Then as I posted below about Camper World, we have enjoyed a few swim days there as well :)We were swimming @ Camper World last night and I was telling James that I didn't think that the kids could hold their breath under water w/ out plugging their noses. Then as I thought about it and as I posted these pictures, I noticed I'm plugging my nose as I come out of the slide, cause guess what? I can't hold my breath under water w/ out holding my nose:) LOL But by the end of the night they had it mastered!

Rick Kent Family Reunion

Well last weekend was the Rick Kent Reunion, but I had to work:(

My parents have a membership @ Camper World, so they decided to just go there for the reunion. Which worked out good for us, so we could come & go. The kids stayed and camped w/ my parents and had fun playing w/ their cousin friends. They all went to Stage Stop Theater to watch the play on Friday night, and then swam on Saturday:)

I forgot my camera, but Caleb bought this old golf cart and Kobe thought it was so AWESOME!! He wanted me to take his picture, so I got this pic w/ my phone. He rode w/ Caleb from Camper World to his house and he was in heaven!

Pool Party!

My mom started a lil baking 4H club for all the girl cousins 8 and older. So every Wednesday Maddi has been going up to my mom's and has been learning how to become the next Betty Crocker:) lol

A few weeks ago after 4H Kati's girls came over and had a lil pool party w/ Mads and P, it's a pretty small pool but they seemed like they were having a grand ole time:)

The kids and I have been working for Gp. & Uncle Caleb this summer, picking up garbage @ the parks and pulling weeds. I think I do most of the work :)lol but I hope in the long run it teaches them both the importance of being a good worker and that money doesn't grow on trees.

Show Bob (a.k.a Lance) helps his daddy (Newlin) mow & trim the Fielding Cemetery and so Kobe thinks that he is ready to move up to a trimmer. So the other day when James was mowing and trimming our yard Kobe wanted to show us he could do it!! I had him put on his sun glasses for safety:) (I'm a dork, I know) but safety 1st!! James got it started and gave him a lil lesson and off he went. He did ok, but I think he needs to be a bit older.

BTW... Check out our garden! It's comin along quite well, if I do say so myself:) While I was taking these pictures of Kobe trimming, I took a few of our garden but they didn't look too good. So I figured these were probably the best and only ones I'd get....

Kobe's Pinewood Derby 6/17/2010

Kobe and James worked hard on getting his car ready. Kobe thought it was so AWESOME!! He was so excited to race his car. He took 5th place out of 12, which we thought was pretty good for us 1st time scouters. James helped him paint his car blue, just like his daddy's truck:)

Maddi had a game @ the same time of the derby, so she and I missed out. But James did a great job of getting a few pictures, thanks Dear:)

Cutler Dam... 6/16/2010

A few weeks ago Kobe & I rode w/ James to drop off the sprayer @ my parents. The Kubota was in the way so I jumped in it and moved it, and of course Kobe wanted to come with:) He was a little worried, cause he didn't think I would be able to drive it. So I thought it would be fun to take him on a lil ride, we went down to "the grove" and then took the canal road back. It had been raining and he was all FREAKED out thinking I was going to drive us into the canal cause the road was all muddy. But little did he know I grew up driving 4-wheelers and going on every canal road in Fielding. We made it back safe and I think he was impressed:)

So a few days later I got this crazy idea and thought it would be fun for James and I to take our kids on a little "field trip" to Cutler Dam in the Kubota. It was raining and we didn't get up there til about 6 p.m. and the gates all closed @ 3 so we couldn't get as close as I wanted. But it was a fun lil adventure:) I had fun telling my kids all the crazy things I did growing up in the "country". Like swimming in the canal and jumping off Bigglers Bridge (sp?) and riding 4-wheelers. I love living in town, but I must say town life just isn't as fun as the good ole country!
