BLACK FRIDAY

HeRe We CoMe....... So me and a few of my friends have a annual tradition of going shopping on the BIGGEST shopping day of the year. This year I was so excited I couldn't even go to sleep the night before, for those of you who know me know that I LoVe

SHOPPING & $ and they go hand in hand. I'm always up for a good DEAL!

We meet up at about 4 a.m. and head to Brigham to Wal-mart and then stop about every store from there to Sandy. We always go to Chili's for lunch this is one of my favs. Once We get to Sandy We enjoy the BEST part of our little trip getting a well need massage at the Sanctuary Day Spa. After We go to dinner and then head to our room to get rested for another big day of SHOPPING!!

This year We went to the distribution center at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, and couldn't pass up a picture in front of this beautiful tree. And then we ate lunch there at the Nauvoo Cafe, very delicious!

WHAT a BUNCH of NUTTS!!

I truly do love these girls, they all hold a special place in my heart and mean the world to me. We have some pretty fun memories, and I hope We have many more to come. Thanks girls for an AWESOME weekend!

I also want to thank my hubby for holding down the fort and taking care of the kiddos. I love coming home and seeing all their smiling faces:)

THANKSGIVING

This year We celebrated Thanksgiving with the Kent family. I don't mind going to my in-laws, but I do have to admit there is nothing like your "own" families cooking. I was so excited to sit down and enjoy my parents cooking, as you can tell We all love food. Mom makes the best mashed potatoes and my dad's pies are to die for. I just love this time of year and the cheer that's in the air, and spending time with family. And last but not least the days off of work:)

We hope all of you had a good holiday!

SO MUCH 2 B THANKFUL 4

With Thanksgiving coming upon us quickly, I thought I should sit down and blog about the things I am most thankful for. Sometimes I tend to get wrapped up in life and the world around me and lose focus of the things that are truly important.

I am so grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And for all the blessing it has in store for me and my family. I'm indeed grateful for the power of prayer and for the holy ghost to lead and guide me as I strive to make the best choices for me and my family. I'm grateful for my husband who holds and honors his priesthood, and to be able to have the priesthood in my home. I wouldn't be able to make it through my days with out my Heavenly Father by my side.

I'm grateful to be a wife and mother, to be able to care for my family. I love my husband so much and I'm grateful for all that he does to see that our families needs are met. I'm grateful to help my kids learn and grown in the gospel and in everyday life. I love being the one to help them achieve their goals or to comfort them as the struggle.

I'm grateful to be part of such a wonderful family. For my dad teaching me the importance of being a hard worker and being accountable. For my mom always being strong in and showing the importance of the gospel and counting on faith to get you through the trials that come your way. I'm grateful for my brothers and sisters and for the fun times we have and being able to call upon them in times of need. I'm so grateful for my in-laws and for all the acts of service and for being willing to drop everything to be there for us, and for all the hours they put in, in helping raise our kids and for watching over them. (I know there are many people who are not fond of their in-laws, but I couldn't ask for better.)

I'm also grateful for our friends and the importance of friendship. Also to be able to live in this day and age and enjoy the many things that our around us. And last but not least I'm grateful for the trials that I've had and to be able to learn and grown from them.

Most of all I thank my Heavenly Father, because without him none of this would be possible.

EXERCISE

I just love Sunday mornings, I'm usually busy working on my lesson for primary. While the kids are always so good to keep themselves entertained, they usually play really well together. I just love the things they come up with, from making huts, coloring, playing house, and today exercise.

Kobe says mom can I plug in the treadmill? I say oh, not really! He says yea I need to get some exercise, so he manages to get it plugged in and off he goes. He's like I'm getting skinny already! Maddi looks at me like WHAT?? and her and I just kinda start to giggle. Then he's says look at me! I'm going on like 20 and it's super fast, I'm going to go on 21. I'm like WOW! you are skinny!! He stops and turns to the side to show me how skinny he is. Maddi's like what ever! Kobe says I am! I'm not even sucking in. Then he goes mom how do you get skinny? by exercising every day and eating healthy foods? I'm like YEP! So then Maddi hops on and off she goes. Kobe's like hey mom can I get an apple cause I need to eat healthy food so I can stay skinny:) he offers to get Maddi one too. And then they ask me to get them some water, this is a real intense work out mind you! Too bad it only last all but 10 min.

What a bunch of silly kids!

It's official

Well, it's official my hubby is an old man:) NOT really! James had to work on his b-day, so the kids were busy at work making him all kids of gifts. They both made him a card and wrote him the cutest little notes, and then they wrapped them up so beautifully. I let them both pick something they wanted to get their daddy for his special day. James was in need of a new tie tack, so that's what Maddi gave him. Then on Friday Kobe says I know what I'm going to get dad, I said ya do what? he says it's just like mine. So on Saturday morning he told him he wanted to get him a Nerf gun, so they could have wars. So he & I went to King's and that's just what he picked out. I thought it was so cute! At first I was thinking I should try and talk him out of it, and get him something he could really use. But then I thought It was cute that he would think to get him something just like his. So sure enough when James got it all opened the WAR started:)

I hope James had a good day,here at home with his fam. We had pecan pie & ice cream, instead of cake cause that's James' favorite. Maddi says we always have to have it every year:) But hey I'm not complaining pie is by far better than cake! Then I just wanted to tell James that I'm sorry I was a party pooper and fell asleep, but that's cause I worked hard all day doing laundry! I'm not used to such hard labor:) LOL

What an OLD man

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY!!

Tomorrow my hubby turns 35, what an OLD man:) hee...hee

Here are a few (okay maybe more than a few) facts that I love about James:)

1. He's the BEST father and husband EVER

2. He's a GREAT maid, he does ALL our laundry, he even cooks, cleans, and does dishes

3. He NEVER worries, and hardly ever complains

(both of those are the exact opposite of me)

4. He's a wonderful example for me and the kids

5. He loves TACOS (his mom's are better than mine) LOL, the color BLUE, Sunday night football, camping, and his all time fav. is the SNOW, and of course hanging out w/ me and the kiddos. (I think he'd say he likes hanging w/us)

6. He eats, drinks, and sleeps SNOWMOBILING and always has one thing on his mind can you say...... SKI-DOO LOL:0)

7. And last BUT not LEAST he paints the BeSt french tip on toes:)

NOPE HE'S NOT FOR HIRE!

I just want James to know how much I love him. He is my best friend, and I appreciate all that he does for me and the kids. I truly am blessed, I couldn't ask for a better man.

cOuSiN fRiEnDs

Tonight the girls had clogging and Marki had dance, and Kati had to run to Ogden. So her girls were just hanging out w/ us for a few hours. I think James was going CrAzY, he doesn't mind that they come over but honestly he can't stand all the noise:) I must say it does get a little over baring at times.

Since Kati doesn't have a blog I thought it would be fun to take a picture of her girls and put on the blog, so that our friends and family could see what CUTE girls we have:)

Strawberry Jam

I made strawberry jam, can you believe it?? Well with the help of Jerian and our little shadow Maddi:) Jerian & I have been talking about making jam since this summer, and We just never found the time. I just figured there will always be next year. Then Jerian called and said strawberries were on sale for just under 5 bucks a case. Who would think that strawberries would be on sale in the middle of November?? NOT ME!

My mom used to can and bottle everything under the sun when I was little. I never had any interest in becoming Betty Crocker so I didn't pay any attention, and the older I get I wish I would have learned a few things. I think Becki and my mom and I have bottled peaches once and then Becki and I did tomatoes one year. But other than that I have just always boughten everything, and I must say some things just taste better when they are homemade. Not to mention the fact that I feel like a little Betty and I'm so proud of myself:)

I wouldn't have been able to do it without the help of Jerian and of course Maddi. I think we made a pretty good team and made the BEST jam ever:)

Our hubbies spent the day working on their snowmobiles, cause the snow will soon be here:) And then they got together with a few of their friends and went to dinner for James' b-day (he is going to be turning 35 next Saturday). We just hung out at the Merritt's house with the kids and had P.B. and J for dinner. We couldn't wait to try our finished product!

WHAT A KID.....

For those of you who know my little Kobe know that he is such a little character! Tonight I had just gotten him out of the tub and while sis was in the tub I told him to brush his teeth. When I came up stairs he had brushed his teeth and gave himself a NEW little hair do with a bunch of clips! I said what are you doing? and he said I don't know but it sure is CrAzY!! and busts up laughing. So I told him to go down and get the camera and he goes YEA put it on your blog! I said I will. So here ya have it....
His dad came up and said what are you doing you little girl?? And he was quick to hurry and pull the clips out. But I had him put them back in and they both gave me their best girly pose:)

What a cute little fart! This little man brings so many smiles to my face, I LOVE YOU P!!

THEN.....

I just can't post about one kid and not the other. Last night Maddi was at clogging w/Kami and aunt Kates. So the rest of us ran to the store. When she got home James called her and asked her if he should come get her cause We'd still be awhile. And she said NO I'm fine. When we got home she had did all her homework and read her baggy book, and had everything laying out ready for me to sign. She is such a good girl and so responsible, I think she is 8 going on 16. She is always so good to mind and follow through and is such a good example for me. She is always quick to remind me when I say a bad word, that it's not nice:) I love her so much and think she is the BEST!! I LOVE YOU PUFFERS!!

Tonight We made carmel apples for F.H.E. What a fun little treat! I think this was a first for us, and the kids thought it was the BEST ever:)

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL HERE WE COME.......

So last night we planned on taking the kids to High School Musical 3. Then our friends called & wanted us to go to dinner & a movie. So I thought it would be fun for the girls + Kobe to go to High School Musical & the dads to go to their show. And that is just what We did, I had to keep my promise to my kids:) As many of you know Maddi and I are huge fans of High School Musical, I absolutely love the movie Grease and I tell her it's Grease of the 2000's. It was so good I even got a few tears in my eyes! I know I'm a little too emotional:) But I must say the best part of the night was when Maddi got home (she had been to a birthday party) Kobe told her where we were going and she started screaming!! I loved the excitement she had on her face, it was like she had just one a million dollars:) But poor Kobe during the whole movie he sat with his arms folded and a BIG frown, he wanted to go with dad:( I felt bad, but made up for it after with ice cream @ Casper's:) YUMMY!!!

TrIcK oR tReAt

Well when the kids got home from school We did homework, and then they got all dressed up. We had a lot of places to go so We got an early start about 3:30. We stopped at Gp. & Gm. Hales first, they are always so eager to to see the kids. I love the excitement they get on their faces, when the kids are around. Gp.'s health as not been the best lately, and I think the kids are what keeps him going. Gp. & Gm. were tending baby Angel, so I helped get her all dressed up & painted her little face. Maddi & Kobe sure do love this little girl:)

Then this year the nursing home had a fun Halloween party. So We thought it would be fun for the kids to go and join in the festivities and visit great gm. Hales & aunt Colleen (gp. Udy's sister). They had a fish pond, ring toss, cupcake walk & then they had a bunch of the residents sitting around with big bowls of candy to pass out. I thought it was so cute! I used to work at the nursing home, when the kids were little. And I remember how excited the residents would get when little kids would come to visit. I thought it was so fun and it brought back a lot of fun memories, and I got to see a bunch of old friends.

Then We met up with Jerian and the kids, and Kody and Hayden @ Midland Square and did the merchant trick or treating. We went last year and I must say this year was much better!

Then we split and went to our wards trunk or treat, this was a 1st for us. And I must say it was pretty darn fun! James and I just sat on the back of the truck passing out candy and sent the kids with their neighbor friends. I loved being able to see all my cute little Sunbeams all dressed up:) and visiting with our ward friends.

Then We headed south to gp. Udy's and gm. Ann's, they live so far out I wondered if We were ever going to get there. J/K The kids were so excited to see gp. We don't get to see him that often and they always look forward to his ripper kisses. (gp. makes a fun little noise when he kisses your checks he's done this since I was a kid)

After that We headed up North to great gm. Kent's. Gp. & Gm. Rick and Uncle Bezzer (Connor) and Aunt Becki and Jacki were all there, so we got it all done in one stop. Great gm. Kent always makes homemade chili for everyone, and passes out homemade sugar cookies a must have:) She has made sugar cookies since my dad was little on Halloween, and lost of old timers stop by to get one. It's always fun to see old friends, that used to come trick or treating at gm.'s bring their kids just to get a cookie:)

And then this last little picture is of the cutest little girl I have ever seen! Branson dressed up as a WOMAN and he pulled it off quite well. He is so stinkin funny, he started the night out with boobs and all but lost a boob along they way! LOL

We had a really fun night as a family and hope you all had a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
