a lil family fun...

On March 5th the kids didn't have school so we took them out west to shoot guns.... Kobe got a b.b. gun for Christmas and he and James had shot it a few times in the back yard, but he was dying to shot something "real". Maddi is @ the age where she thinks she is too cool for her family, so she was not excited about going @ all! So I used this as an opportunity to teach or maybe I should say give my kids a speech about the importance of family. I told them that friends are great to have but your family will always be there and we should be excited about being w/ them:) and of course I said a bit more than that, but you get the idea:) lol I don't think my speech/teaching moment went over that great... Maddi was just down right pissed that she had to come w/ us, but by the end of the day I think she thought it wasn't to bad:)

We went out past the Golden Spike, I don't know if it was still too wet & cold but we didn't have much luck on finding any rabbits:( James had brought a few of his guns so we just gathered up a few cans and took turns shooting. I thought it was kinda fun, and not something you'd do every day... and lets just say by the end of the day Maddi didn't think we were too bad either:) She got to have her 1st driving lesson and she did VERY well:)

Maddi driving for the 1st time:) James & I both were impressed w/ how well she did. The roads were really wet & muddy but she stayed right down the middle... and GUESS WHAT? Shaylee was still home when we got back and I drove her RIGHT over there:)

I'm kinda sad to think that my kids are getting so grown up, kinda makes me miss the good old days... Life just goes by way to fast and I love days like this and hope my kids will learn to love them too:)

KrAZY KoBe....

I just love this kid! He is so silly and has the best imagination and can entertain his self for hours. He thought that he and Diesel could live in the kennel together, it would be so awesome!! :) lol

Also in February I got to go w/ my mom & sisters and Julie to watch Marki and the Hi-Steppers @ State competition in Provo. It was a pretty fun time, I took a few pictures @ the hotel room but they are kinda silly so I'm not posting them:) I must say the competition was very LONG!! But it's fun to watch and it's always nice to have a lil girl time....

Valentine's and F.H.E

At the first of the year we started having F.H.E once a month w/ the 2 Belew families.... It has been lots of fun! February was our turn so we had it on Valentine's Day and had spaghetti, the BEST garlic bread, and pink jello and then after wards we frosted heart shaped sugar cookies:)

Maddi Jane

In February Maddi got an citizenship award, for showing good behavior and always doing the right thing!

She is a pretty good girl, and I'm so proud of her. She helps keep us all on track:)

Valentine's Boxes

Well all I can say is I'm way out of practice in the scrapbooking/craft department:) I haven't done anything "crafty" in such a long time. But my kids both needed a Valentines box this year so I had to pull out my good old scrapbooking supplies and get creative! YIKES!!

We didn't have any shoes boxes, but sense James and I both work @ Malt-O-Meal we have plenty of oatmeal containers so that's what I made the kids boxes out of and they turned out pretty good! They were both happy so that's what matters....right?


In case you are wondering why Maddi's says Maddi 2, she has 3 Maddi's in her class so she goes by Maddi 2 :)

Kobe R.

As you can tell I'm a lil behind on my blogging..... So I'm not exactly sure when this was but some time in Febuary.

Kobe got to go w/ Uncle Newlin and Show Bob to haul hay in the semi and he thought it was so AWESOME!! Newlin fixed Kobe up w/ this hat and then sent me a message titled Kobe R. :)




As I posted this picture this funny lil story came to mind, so I thought I'd blog about it too:)

Awhile back Kobe got to go watch Show Bob ride a mini bull. He loves being w/ his cousin friends and he loves the "country" life. He was so excited!!

His dad isn't to hip on the country life so I don't buy him very many "cowboy clothes" he usually wears Carson's old ones:) I can't remember the last time I bought him a pair of "cowboy" jeans, but as he was getting ready he had to wear Wranglers and the only pair he had was WAY to small but he was determined to wear them. So being the CrAzY mama I am I had him lay down on the floor and suck in so I could zip his pants up:) LOL We got them up and I said you can't wear those what if you have to go potty, you'll never be able to get them zipped back up:) LOL He said I'll be fine I can get "it" out and not un-do my pants:) I tried to talk him in to a pair of Wranglers that fit, but they didn't have the patch but he was wearing the ones he had on no matter what! He did end up having to go potty but Uncle Newlin was able to help him get them zipped back up:) hee hee hee

On a side note when we were getting him ready I didn't have time to run up town and buy him a new pair of Wranglers....

Any how I have blogged about this before but just to get you all up to speed and so this post makes sense:) Kobe loves going to Aunt B's and being w/ the boys, a while back when I went to pick him up after he had stayed the weekend w/ Aunt B. he didn't wanna come home:( He said he wanted to stay @ Aunt B's forever and that if he lived there he could be "Kobe R." just like Branson R. and Carson R. :) So sense then my family has just kind of made a lil joke about Kobe R. Bywater :)

On February 5th we had a girls date and headed to Morgan to watch Marki and the Hi-Steppers perform @ Region. As usual they did AwEsOME! I can't believe my lil MeeKee is all grown up, she is such a good girl. I'm so proud of her, she is a good lil dancer and I love going to watch her.

Maddi's Birthday!

We celebrated Maddi's birthday on January 8th. January is a big birthday month on the Kent side of the family, Gp. Rick had planned a lunch date to celebrate Gm. Lynn's birthday (which was on the 5th). So I thought it would be a good idea to celebrate Maddi's birthday right after lunch. We headed to Shaffer's hill for sleigh riding and then to Gp. & Gm.'s for cake and ice cream.

Once we got to the hill, Maddi was scared and would not go down. Needless to say I was a lil bit upset! She is the one who said she wanted to go sleigh riding for her birthday. Just before it was time to go she decided to go down and ended up loving it! :) She's kind of a silly girl....but that's why we love her:) She is getting so grown up and is as sassy as EVER!! ( just like her mama)

Aunt Jacki had made a super cute cake & cupcakes for the celebration and Maddi being the youngest to have a January birthday got to blow out the candles:)

Then on Maddi's real birthday January 12th, we had a lil celebration w/ just us and of course Maddi's BFF Shay:)

Gp. Kennard had been sick so they didn't make it to the sleigh riding party so we took Maddi's cake down to Gp. & Gm. Hales so they could help us celbrate. Maddi picked a giant sized cupcake, which I filled w/ strawberry's & cream for the frosting and it was EXCELLENT!

On Christmas Eve James took Kobe riding w/ him and he was in heaven! :) The Benson's brought their kids too and they had fun riding down the hills on their dads shovels...

James said Kobe was really scared @ first and even started crying when they would go up the mountain, but after a while he decided it was AWESOME!!
