Date Night!!

So last night for FHE we got the kids out of school early and went to Ogden on a little date. We had to go to a few appointments and then we did a little shoe shoppin:) Then for the BEST part we went to dinner @ Texas Roadhouse, where everything is homemade!! (inside joke! LOL) We practiced using proper etiquette, so hopefully when we go on our cruise we won't look like a bunch of hicks! LOL

HaPpY bIrThDaY bEcKi!!

On Wednesday it was Becki's birthday:) Branson & Carson along w/ a little help from grandma Lynn planned a surprise party for her. SO CUTE!! They really did try hard to keep it a secret, but if you know these 2 boys they sure are full of it so I think a little info got out:) LOL They had grandma bring them to town & bought party hats for everyone & a few birthday decorations. They went to grandmas after school @ 4:30 and she helped them bake the cakes. They both picked out a cake mix so we had chocolate & strawberry cake w/ lots of yummy frosting. They called all of us and told us the party was @ 7:00, but to come a little early & park out back. They were so excited I think they called like 4 times each. And then I subbed school lunch @ Branson school on Tuesday & he gave me another friendly reminder:) LOL So we all got there early & hid down stairs w/ our party hats on, and then Maddi & Kami & Aunt Jacki watched out the window for their arrival. A few of the kids had confetti and the boys had balloons & a happy birthday sign posted as you walked in. They told my mom they would leave their house @ 7:08 LOL These boys are so cute, they are both so full of it, but it never fails they can bring a smile to your face:) Well it was well past 7:08 so grandma called to see where they were & they were just leaving, so we shut off the lights & as Becki entered the family room we all yelled SURPRISE!!! It was so cute!! Her boys had the BIGGEST smiles & were so proud of themselves they were grinning from ear to ear! I guess it was something you just had to see, I'm sure it was a proud parenting moment for Becki and I hope she had a HaPpY bIrThDaY!!

Then on Saturday all us girls went to Sizzler for Becki's birthday lunch. Then we did a little shopping after, I love all my sisters & sister in-laws and had a fun day w/ them.

It was James weekend to work & the kids had went to gp. & gm. Hales last Saturday so I could go on the loooooongest shopping trip of my life:) LOL So I didn't want to ask them again so I thought Kami could come over & her & Maddi could tend Kobe. WELL Kobe thought it wasn't fair cause as I've posted before Maddi has the "sweet life" and he thought Kami was coming over as a friend not as a babysitter. So I said the only other option would be for him to go work w/ gp. Rick and he was so excited!! So Maddi & Kami had a fun day here @ our house playing & being silly girls:) Kobe enjoyed the day working w/ grandpa Rick. They went to lunch @ Riverside (a.k.a. Riverside Corner) w/Uncle Caleb & the 2 cutest girls in the universe Maggie & Addie:) When we got back from Logan Maggie was crying cause she wanted to come to Aunt Mandi's house. So of course I jumped @ the chance of having her come. On the way home Kobe informed me that he ate 2 4inch burritos & Maggie said she had 1 2inch corn dog & Addie May had 1 1inch corn dog:) LOL I was laughing so hard it was just so cute!
Well while we were gone Maddi called and asked if they could go to the park, I said yes but to call me when they got back home. Well it had been 2 hours & still no call I was calling my house 100 times & was getting so worried. So then I thought I'd call James' mom to go check on them WELL you'll never guess where they were.......they walked to grandma's after the park. THANK HEAVENS for grandma & grandpa Hales they never let me down!!! I'm so thankful for them they are always there & are so willing to help. So on our way home we stopped by their house & got the girls & they all came here & played. Then a little later when Caleb & Julie came to get Mags we all went to dinner. What a fun day! I love my family!!!

Grand Lake Colorado

So as I posted earlier James and a few of his friends went on a little snowmobile trip to Grand Lake Colorado. I'm not sure of all the details, since I wasn't there. And due to the fact that we all know James is so talkative, I don't have much info. other than it was FUN! But here's a few pics and he did say it was way pretty country, and that he rode hard.

WELL

The last few days we have been busy here @ the Hales home, just running the kids and enjoying the warm weather. Last night my parents took my whole big family minus a few husbands due to work to a concert over in Logan. It was called A National Tribute to Joseph (Smith), it was awesome! I think it was a little over the kids heads but they had fun being w/ their cousins. They played alot of fun music, but yet it was religious and you could totally feel the spirit. Then after we all went to Village Inn for dinner. WOW! Now that was kind of a CrAzY idea 24 people eating dinner @ 9:00 P.M. Let's just say it took them forever, and we didn't get home til 11:30! Crazy I know especially on a school night, so I told the kids they could sleep in & go to school late. Well James left early this morning to go on a snowmobiling trip w/ his pals to Colorado, so I decide to just have a lazy day and I let the kids skip school. We had a fun day just hanging out here @ home. The kids both got a kite the other day so Maddi & I went out for a while & tried (that's heavy on TRIED) to fly hers. I thought it was pretty fun, but lets just say we needed our dad's help! We didn't last long, but I was okay w/ that cause I wanted to get pics & James took the camera. So when he gets home we will try again and get a few pics, and of course Kobe will be joining us next time. But as for today he's been busy playing Star Wars and just couldn't break away to try & fly his:) LOL


I have pics of last night too, but I didn't get them down loaded. So I'll post them when my man gets home:)

One more thing.....can I just say I LOVE this weather the kids have been playing outside all day:)

WOW!!

Can you believe we have been married for 13yrs. YES that's 1&3 time goes by way to fast, it seems like we just got married yesterday!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BABY! I LUV U:)

WE MADE IT!

Well it's now 10:00 P.M. on Friday the 13th, so I think it's safe to say our day turned out wonderful:) James had to work today and I got the kids off to school then I went and had my hair done. James was a little concerned about me getting my hair done on Friday the 13th, but it turned out wonderful! Thanks to my girl Celee, I feel like a new woman! Then after that I went to the mexican (a.k.a El Parral) for lunch with my wonderful grandpa, my mom and all my sistas:)

Then I picked up the kids and Marki from school, we came home and got their homework all done. Then when James got home he & Kobe gave the car a little turn up.(thank you Becki) And the girls and I headed over to the Alice C. School to help my parents serve a 4H dinner. It turned out wonderful....and yes the BEST part is being able to eat the delicious food after:) LOL We had alot of great helpers who helped make the night go well. (thanks B.R. FFA)

But now I'm going to brag about my dad for a bit. My dad is a very hard worker and loves to help others, he is also very giving. My dad is always looking for ways to better himself as well as us as a whole family. I love his determination! I appreciate him giving me the opportunity to help him as well as his example of being a good hard worker. I don't think there are a lot of kids these days that realize the importance of being a good reliable worker. I thank him for giving Marki & Maddi the opportunity to come and learn from his example. And the real BEST part is being able to work with the people I love:) Thanks dad for always looking out for all of us and seeing that your needs are met as well as all of ours.

I hear: My computer humming, it's so very quite when you are home alone:)

I smell: Acetone, from taking off my toenail polish.

My Sweet Grandma

My grandma's ward has a book club and this month is her turn to host the book review. So my mom thought it would be nice for us to go and help her get her house ready. I am so thankful my mom asked me to go help her, at first I was thinking I have a million things to do of my own. But after the job was complete I thanked my mom for asking me, I loved how I felt inside and loved the opportunity I had to serve someone else. My grandma was so happy to have the help & had tears in her eyes as she thanked us, she said it felt so good to have such a clean house. She said I have wanted this done for along time, but just can't do it myself. I think it looked wonderful, and I too love how a clean house feels.

But for now I just want to brag about my grandma:) She is such a sweet lady, she is always very positive and looks for the good in every person & in EVERY situation. She truly is a wonderful example of service, she loves to give to others. She is a wonderful cook and candy maker, I'm sure you can tell cause we aren't the smallest family:) LOL She NEVER forgets a birthday or anniversary clear down to the youngest great grandchild. She always brings food or a treat to those who are ill. She has many wonderful talents! She does wonderful hand work and can help make any talk or speech sound top notch. She is just wonderful all the way around!

The "SwEeT LiFe"

So as I've posted before, my poor little Kobe has the worst life ever:( Not really but if you ask him he thinks his big sister has the "SwEeT lIfE". Maddi is getting so grow up and is starting to spend more time w/ her friends and my poor little Kobe man thinks it's so unfair but on the other hand he loves to just be at home. Last night Maddi was over night @ a friends house and James was gone w/ his friends so Kobe & I were home alone. Kobe loves to play on the computer and could sit @ it for hours if we'd let him. The other day he found this game on-line and has been trying to master it. I think it's so cute! Last night he wanted me to try so I had him sit on my lap and he gave me a few pointers:) LOL Then first thing this morning he was @ it again and before James left to go riding Kobe had him come down to watch him James was able to help him get to the next leave, Kobe says sweet!

Then a little later on Kobe asked me if we could go to the "toy store" (a.k.a Alco). He wanted to get a bow & arrow, I'm thinking this was so he could act out the game he has been playing. LOL Well when we got to the toy store he wanted everything but a bow & arrow. He decided on this little kit w/ a soldier and a bunch accessories. When we got home he wanted to see if the solider could swim????
K says: mom you know those really big bowls like this as he makes a big circle w/ his arms.
I say: ya!
K: well can you get me one w/ a whole bunch of water??
I: IDK what if it spills?? Where do you want to play w/ it @??
K: down stairs
I: Well if you get a big towel under and promise to be really REALLY careful!
K: I promise!

So I get the bowl w/ kinda warm water as per his request:) But guess what...his guy wouldn't swim cause there was no waves:) LOL But that didn't slow him down any, he has such a good imagination and played for hours! He got the guy out of the water and he could swim now, but w/ only one arm:) what a silly kid!

Then for lunch Kobe and I went to Pizza Plus and met up w/ some of my friends from H.S. (Tarah & Heather) and he played video games w/ Brock (Tarah's son). Kobe thought it was so fun, he said he ate so much bread sticks he was about to puke!

Sounds like a pretty "sweet life" don't ya think??? LOL I know it's far from the "Suite Life" Zack & Kody live. But hey if their happy, I'm happy! I think it's the "Sweet Life Tremonton Style of Maddi & Kobe."

Just a little 411 the "sweet life"/ "suite life" is a inside joke @ our house!
