1st day of school....

I can't believe it's time for school...

My kiddos are growing up way too fast!!

 

 

 Maddi is in 7th grade this year & was SUPER excited to start school. She is at a fun age & I love her out look on life. She is a lil sassy like her mama! But pretty dang smart & keeps us all in check! She wasn't to excited about getting her picture taken, but agreed to get it taken as long as I didn't take it at the school. :) LOL

Kobe is in 5th grade this year & wasn't too excited about going back to school. He is one handsome boy!! He is very active & has a great imagination! He is kind of a lil turkey & keeps us all laughing!!

He was super embarrassed for me to take his pic & kept saying... ok bye mom :) LoL But I got em taken & was on my way & I don't think anyone really noticed me snapping a few pics...

B.E. County Fair Parade....

 Trev & Syd danced with Va-dels this year too, but I wasn't able to get a pic of all 3 of them together & I missed Trev all together... But here is my lil Syd :)

I love to see the temple.....

Last night we took the kids to the Brigham City Temple open house. Maddi had went yesterday morning with the Young Women from our ward so she was our lil guide. :) It was beautiful & we are excited & so blessed to have a temple so close. 

We have loved driving past & seeing the temple as it was being built. It was fun to be able to let the kids see inside. :)

Salt Lake City

Yesterday after Kobe's football game we decide we would take the kids on the Front Runner to SLC. We got on in Ogden so we toured around all the old trains first. I can't believe we have lived here our whole lives & never been to see the trains... The kids thought they were so cool!

 

Maddi liked the Olympic train the best!!

Then we headed to the Front Runner to tour City Creek & the Gate Way.....

City Creek was AWESOME!! We had a fun lil date to the big city & the best part is that it was super CHEAP! James loved the Front Runner & said that he would rather take that than drive to SLC.

Over the 4th of July we went camping @ Camper World with Jacki & Cade, it was lots of fun! We found a pair of goggles that were Em's size & she loved them!! And I thought she looked so stinkin cute in them! I love that girl....

 Then on that Saturday the Hill's & Natalie joined us & we all headed to Newton Dam for a lil boating!!

Good times with the fam.... I love....love....love all my lil nieces & nephews!! They are all so dang cute!! I get so excited to see them, Maddi & Kobe them them too, they are at fun ages & say the cutest things!!

Hales family update..

So here is a lil update on our family...

Back in May I got a lil wild hair & quit my job, no 2 week notice just up & quit. Things hadn't been going so good for a while & I guess I just had enough. I was pretty bummed, cause it seemed to be the perfect "mom job".... I think I was in more shock than James & I still am, quiting is just so not me. But I do believe everything happens for a reason. Back then I couldn't tell you WHY but today I have a better idea....

I started applying for jobs the day after I quit (May 10th) cause we were leaving for our big family vacation on May 31st & I was freaking out!! What had I done?? I had this vacation planned for months & I bring home the "fun $$". Not to mention we live @ my in-laws & were planning to move before school started... Well we still went on vacation but the house is a lil further down the list, but it's coming!! :)

I started working for my parents/bro mowing lawns & LOVING being home with my kiddos!

While we were on vacation I got a call from one of the jobs I had applied for almost a month ago & I couldn't make the interview cause we were gone so I asked if I could come the next week & he said yes. I'm thinking sure I'll go, but asking to come another time probably already jacked my chances @ getting the job.... So to make a long story short I went to a total of 3 interviews over the next month & got the job!!! YaY!  As of June 16th I started working as a clerk in the shipping department @ Vulcraft & so far I am LOVING it!! 

I/we still help mow & pull weeds for Yard Dawgs, which is kind of a pain, but in away I enjoy it. I love being out side & its a good way to get my "tan on" :) The kids how ever think it sucks & can't wait for it to be over!! :) LoL

Any how James is helping out with the above & still working @ M.O.M & life is good!!

My kiddos are loving SUMMER!! Mads has been busy with dance, and young womens & Kobe has been busy with baseball & football... We've done a lil swimming,camping & a lot of running around & a lot of house hunting!! Kobe said last night... Mom, grrr...The second you get home all you do is say lets drive by this house, or what about this house! :) LoL So true!! I'm in no rush & just waiting for the "perfect" house to come along... Doubt it will happen but I can always hope!!

Here is what the "perfect" house hopefully will look like/ have....close to town but not really in town, 2 car garage, fence, sprinkler system, a min. of 3 bedroom 4 would be better, a min. of 2 bathroom 3 would be better, 100% finished & landscaped... Doesn't have to be new, but if it's older it has to be in good shape, structure, windows, roof, carpet & most importantly CLEAN!!!

So if any of you find this house please call :) If not we will continue to "talk about houses" every night after work.... Hahaha

That's about all, school will be starting very SOON!! Yikes... My kiddos are growing up way to FAST!!

Rick Kent Family Reunion June 22-24th 2012

Aunt B was in charge of the reunion this year & she did a fabulous job!! We stayed in Ovid @ Cade's dads cabin & it was so fun!!

We played a bunch of "Minute to Win it" games Aunt B had planned & we all had a ball! :)

Then on Saturday we headed to Bear Lake to do a lil boating... Sunni & Connor brought Sunni's parents wave runners.....  Which by the way was my FAVORITE!! :)
The big boys enjoyed water skiing behind the boat & the lil kids liked playing on the shore.
