B.R. Hi-Steppers....

Last Saturday Maddi & I got to go watch Marki and the rest of the Bear River Hi-Steppers dance @ their region competition. They did an AMAZING job & took first place in all their dances and 1st place over all!!! It was fun to go watch, but I must say Becki & I are baby's we starting crying...... I think mostly cause we were happy & excited & so proud of Marki! She is a good lil dancer!!

This weekend is the state competition and all of the big girls in my family are going to stay in Provo, but do to work I can't go:( But I know they will have a fun time & Marki will do AWESOME!!

a whole week of.....

CeLeBrAtInG!!

Last Tuesday was Maddi's birthday , and on our kids birthdays they can pick their favorite restaurant or their favorite meal for me to fix. Well Maddi picked her favorite meal which is "white goulash" (noodles, corn, hamburger & mushroom soup). This year we invited Gp. & Gm. Hales down for dinner & apple pie.

We kind of have a lil tradition in our family of having pie instead of cake:)

On Friday night Maddi had a little party with a few friends and we all went bowling over @ Logan Lanes.

Then on Sunday night my family gets together once a month for FHE and to celebrate each months birthdays. I forgot my camera so sorry no pictures......

My wonderful mother on January 5th......Sunni on the 8th......Connor & Maddi Jane on the 12th....and Aunt Kates on the 30th.

MaDiSoN JaNe!!

I can't believe my baby girl is 10 years old...WOW!! She is getting so group up, she is our little sweetheart and helps keep us all in line. I love the sweet spirit she brings into our family & our home, she is a wonderful example. I hope she has a very Happy Birthday!! and I wish her the BEST of luck @school today she has the schools spelling bee and tryouts for the school play, she will do great! I love you sweetheart!!

So...

I guess I'm full of it today I have blogged more today than I have in the last month:) But I just wanted to say I'm sorry for the last 3 or 4 post I was just looking over my blog & realized I stated in every post that we were looking forward to 2010. I guess that just goes to show I wasn't a huge fan of 2009. So sorry for being so repetitive.....

And off to the movies we go!

KoBe....

What a handsome lil son I have.... The kids & I went to Logan on Thursday so they could spend their money gp. Udy gave them for Christmas. As you all know my lil Kobe Man is quite the kiddo! We went to Khol's to look for new gloves for the kids. While Maddi & I were looking Kobe found this hat....... He put it on his head & he was in heaven, he looked so stinkin cute! I told him if it was a lot of money I would not buy it, in my mind I was thinking it was a lil ridiculous for a small kid to wear a hat like this it's something an old grandpa would wear. Well when we got to the check out it had no tags on it, but he was so excited and the girl said she would send someone to find a price. It was a lil more than I would normally spend for something so silly, but I do kinda have a soft side when it comes to saying NO! So I bought the damn hat! Kobe has worn it every day so I guess it will be worth the money:)

When we got in the car he says this is a real Alaskan fur hat! It's made from real animal fur mom! If you look close you can even see pink and that's the skin!! Maddi & I were laughing so hard, he sure comes up with some funny things... I sure do love him!!

So today Maddi is still @ Aunt Kate's from a sleep over last night, and my poor lil Kobe Man is bored! So he put on all his gear along w/ the "real Alaskan fur" hat and is outside playing in the snow :)

This isn't the best picture, but I think my camera is dying:( I can't get it to zoom or show the pictures after I take them. I wanted to get a close up so you could see the hat, but this is the best I could get!

Sleigh Riding...

Well we started the year off doing my most favorite winter activity......SlEiGh RiDiNg!! I love it!! And I can remember when I was younger going every year on New Year's day w/ all my Kent cousins behind the truck, my dad & Uncle Jeff would drive so crazy, but it was always so fun!!

Yesterday we went up to my parents house & my dad took us behind the Kubota (sp?) it was a BLAST!! James & my brothers had fun riding there snowmobiles around and Connor & Bailey had made this "homemade" snow bike... pretty interesting!! Connor has always loved being creative, but this little bike looked a little dangerous if you ask me:)

My mom had homemade chili & hot chocolate ready for us when we were done, and it was delicious!

Kati... I have no clue what the hell she is doing...but she is lookin HOT as ever!!

The boys... Carson, Kobe and Branson. They would take turns riding the little saucers that were hooked to the hood we were all on. Show Bobby said they were riding like "Sled Necks" :)

Kobe, Carson, Show Bobby and Haddi would take turns riding in the back of the Kubota they said they were the "paramedics" and when anyone would fall off they would all jump out & go help who ever fell off. I love the things kids come up with :) We all had a blast!! and I love days likes these, these are the times my kids will cherish for the rest of their lives.



On a side note... I have loved being home with my little family. We have had a BLAST hanging out w/ our family & friends. I love being able to sleep in and lay in bed snuggling my hubby & kids. I wish this was reality..... I love keeping my house picked up and having my laundry done, it is oh so WONDERFUL!! Only a few more days of paradise and then back to work & school we go!!

But I just have to say I am so EXCITED cause in 32 days James & I will be enjoying the BEST vacation of our lives..... on the Carnival Dream!!! WOOOO HOOOO bring on the SUNSHINE!!

New Year's Eve

This year for New Year's Eve we got together w/ KC & Jerian & their kids & Kody & Jo. We had a pretty small group compared to other years. We all went hot tubing @ Crystal Springs, and then came here for baked potato & salad bar. We had fun playing games & Mario on the Wii.

But do to the fact that we went hot tubing, we all looked a mess... so no pictures! But we had a good time!! We are looking forward to a GREAT year in 2010!!
